Two Wrought Iron Spiral (Courting) Candlesticks

Two excellent Early American "Courting Candle Holders". These are also called Spirial Candleholders. The Bases are both turned Walnut which indicates they are most likely of American Origin. They are similar in size but have subtle differences in the Bases and Thumb Pushes. The finger carriers are in perfect overall condition. These candleholders are in near perfect overall condition showing only normal use. The Thumb Pushes turn easily and are snug. One Base shows a little dab of Epoxy glue, the metal Spiral may have been loose at the mounting tip. The other is absolutely untouched. They have some built up candle wax on them from use. They measure 7 1/4" & 7 1/2" tall. They are guaranteed to be old and as described. These date to the mid to late 1700's. I'm selling them as a pair.
