This is a figure of a woman in period dress, paintd oil on homespun linen. I believe it is of the period of the costume though I am not sure what period the dress is.

It has suffered some over time and is mounted on a piece of plywood with Art Deco trim (cast iron) atthe top and bottom.There is paint missing from her upraised arm and from the tree and from the figure in the sky. Nevertheless, it is a striking example of early Folk Art.

The image is ~ 10" by 15" and the figure is ~9-1/4" tall.
